A lovely town along the canal's banks with a typical brick bell-tower wall around its church.

Sailing on the canal you'll see the many wash-houses where washerwomen used to come a long way to wash their linen even after 1925 when motor barge used to splash them at each passing.
Thru the Canal du Midi it was prohibited to wash linen outside of these wash-houses . A court trial and a fine was given to the one trespassing the law.
One can wonder about this knowing that all the water sewage of the near buildings were running in the Canal and that dead animals from farms around were thrown in without second thought!
