While hunting around the area Catherine de Médicis used to lodge in the château de Lastours .

Today one can enjoy a comfortable sleeping accomodation surrounded by beautiful antiques and decorative objects. It is possible to visit the château . Call for informations and reservation at 05.61.27.87.21.

The village had a silo in used until 1975. With the improvement works carried out between 1970 and 1975, on all the locks from Castets en Dorthe to Baziege to have the Canal up to the prescribed Freycinet standarts for safety handling the tonnages and lenghts of the barges, this silo could be used again today.
Unfortunately, no more barges sail between Agen and Toulouse and the Canal hasn't been dredge since 1975.
Nevertheless nothing stays without solutions and V.N.F. the Navigable French Waterways is now equipped with a dredge-boat named "La Goulue" !
