Nestling on Marseillette dry pond, Puichéric is an interesting XIth century medieval village.

After many historical events like the Prince Noir havocs or the Albigensian crusade it enjoyed prosperity with the Canal du Midi 's passage.
The château de Puichéric is still today as it was when it provided accomodation to Pierre Paul Riquet, whom stayed in one of its allegoric painted ceiling wing whilst the Canal was being built.
