This town is a bastide built in 1283 by Edward Ist of England

Located on the canal, Valence is a beautiful town with dovecots, flowered wash houses and it' s famous fowl markets.Every year a great sound and light show called Au fil de l'eau... Une histoire" tells the past of the town and the activities around the Canal.

This  benevolent show is given by the local population and even the mayor enjoys a part.

Many sportive activities are proposed in Valence d'Agen and its surroundings : motor bike, glider with the Pous du ciel , the international Roller Skates Championship contest in and of course golf at Espalais.
